FKB-YN/XN type (shaft connection, stop support) magnetic powder brake

The FKB-YN/XN type magnetic powder brake is composed of a driving rotor (input shaft), a driven rotor (output shaft), and a yoke containing excitation coils. The three parts are assembled relatively concentrically, forming a relatively rotatable whole. In the annular gap between the driving rotor and the driven rotor, highly magnetic alloy magnetic powder is filled.

When there is no current passing through the excitation coil, the magnetic powder in the working chamber is in a loose state. Under the action of the centrifugal force generated by the driving rotor, the magnetic powder is evenly flung onto the inner wall of the driving rotor. The interaction between the driving and driven rotors causes the magnetic powder clutch to be in a disengaged state, with no torque transmission.

The principle of the FKB-YN/XN type magnetic powder brake is the same as that of the magnetic powder clutch. As long as the driven rotor of the magnetic powder clutch is fixed, a magnetic powder brake is formed.

Application scope

Due to the above characteristics of the FKB-YN/XN type magnetic powder brake, it is now widely used in the control of winding and unwinding tension in the papermaking, printing, plastic, rubber, textile, dyeing and printing, wire and cable, metallurgy and other related winding processing industries.
